Over 150 years of history
HERITAGE
Since our company was founded in 1867, we reinvent Haute Orfèvrerie. Our creations are the result of our company’s unique history and our ongoing creativity, and they symbolize our never-ending quest for perfection. Devoted to the tables of the privileged for centuries, and subject to changes in gastronomy, fashion and customs, silverware remains inseparable from the French art of living. Ercuis contributes to perpetuating this tradition, by being fully open to innovations in the decorative arts, design and haute gastronomie.
The Centaur
The distinctive hallmark is adopted on Ercuis' cutlery and silverware in 1886. The mythical creature adorns all cutlery and holloware silver and silverplated creations.
International recognition
During three World Exhibitions in Paris of 1920s and 1930s, Ercuis distinguished itself by its creativity and unique know-how in the creation of iconic pieces, combining shapes and materials.

Iconic liners
Ercuis was asked by the French Navy ministry to equip the Normandie liner. Other transatlantic ships would follow. This era left a lasting mark on the design style of the company's creations.
Le France
Ercuis equips Le France, one of the very last transatlantic ocean liners.
Comité Colbert
In 1978, Ercuis becomes a member of the Comité Colbert, which brings together the greatest names in luxury and exceptional French design.
Orient-Express
During the relaunch of the Venice Simplon Orient-Express, Ercuis is asked to equip its restaurant. For this special occasion, the original line of engraved silverware VSOE is created.
The village
In 1867, Abbé Pillon founds a silversmith's business in the village of Ercuis, 50km north of Paris. Initially, the company's expertise was focused on religious silverware, before finally turning to tableware.

Ercuis innovates by creating a made-to-measure cutlery: Arts Décoratifs. With its colourful patterns, the cutlery has a new personality. 9 designs are to be combined with a coloured laquer to be chosen among 30 shades. A range of choices for every taste, every style and every imagination

LATITUDE
Latitude, the iconic Ercuis silverware collection, was born of a simple idea: to present the mignardises vertically to punctuate the services of the greatest tables, to create surprise and to sublimate the most gourmet moments.
